Comes in handy for the kitchen of a compartmentalized apartment especially when your air conditioning doesn't reach that area. Also cooling in a bedroom for the same reason as the kitchen. The only problem that I don't like is that if you move it and it has water in it, it will spill so I just empty the unit before I move it.

this thing is great! To get the most out of it you do want to sit pretty much in front of it. As with any evaporative system the coldest air is in a arch right in front of it but sitting or sleeping in a small space you are in front of it no matter what. There has been more than one night I woke up under blankets and had to turn it off because I was cold.
